The title of this blog, “Krell’s Last Dreaming,” refers to an extinct, extraterrestrial species from the 1956 science fiction film, Forbidden Planet. The Krell were large, ranine beings whose advanced technology included mind amplifiers that physically manifested the Krell’s thoughts — and also unintentionally their subconscious monsters, thus spelling the Krell’s doom millennia before spacefaring humans would discover the relics of their once great civilization.
